This shot has been on my mind for a while. Someone mentioned they wanted to buy some 'cut glass' once and I wrote it down. I have a whole list of ideas that I keep. If something striked interesting I write it down. I shot this a couple other times but I didn't like it.

Dremel tool used to cut a slot in the glass (actually have pictures of it) and the razor blade was crazy glued in.

Lighting. All backlit. 2 flashes pointing directly at the background. Really traditional way of lighting glass. White background about 4 feet behind subject. 1/30th shutter speed to capture a blurred drop. 100 clicks to capture the right drops.

You would think I had won 'the apprentice' last night after this frame was shot. I saw it in the camera preview and was hootin and hollerin. I get too worked up over this stuff some times... LOL
