How: Fish tank filled with water. 8 flashes. 7500th of a second @f16. Rotated 180 in post. Spots clones, USM, levels. Thats it.

question, how did you manage to illuminate the (how do you call those round things??) yet the hand remained in total shadow??

The hand is a totally flat plane, well it has some dimension but it's basically flat. all of the light on the marbles is coming from the left. There is no light in this image coming straight at the subject so basically there's no light to offer the hand any casts. The ridiculously quick shutter speed took care of the rest. LOL

oh, about the concept (if that's what you meant by 'I don't get it' that is... 2 together one on the outside and the hand represents those looking (whether it be a private investigator, god or the persons conscience...
