No sound trigger this time. I did it the old fashioned way. I needed way too much light and low power flashes just wouldn't do it.

I wanted this one to actually have a feeling. I was listening to a news report about battle field stories from wars past and present and this idea came to mind. Sad stuff...

Thanks...

That must be a darn exciting yet messy kind of photography ... do you use PC triggered live shooting for that kind of images?

nice execution as always. My question is, how many glasses do you break!! do you save the 'remains' as a way to recycle them by using them in other shoots? or is every shoot just a brand new set of shatters!?

Some of the images yeah, and some no. This one I just did the old fashioned way. Trigger in my right hand, Ice cubes in the left. Drop and click. Usually it takes a while to get it. That means shoot, clean, reset, shoot, clean, etc... But I got this on the first shot. I've been doing shots like this for a while now so the left hand, right hand coordination is pretty good. I still tried some other shots with water everywhere but they just didn't have the impact this one did. I would have liked some red liquid on the broken glasses but it just looked better clean... Thanks.

I keep all my broken glass in a box. It always comes in handy... :-)

Thanks

hehe, I figured as much. I dont see you as the type that just throws things away without second thought. I respect that.
